All Souls Counseling Center - Asheville, NC

All Souls Counseling Center (ASCC) was such a transformative place for me.  After my father took his own life, I was lost, aimless, self-loathing and hopeless. I didn’t think I was able to afford a person to talk to, but then I was referred to ASCC and found that help was more achievable than I thought. I was matched with a perfect counselor and was given a comforting yet honest space to open up and really explore the feelings I had around my father’s death and life. I don’t think I would have the mental capacity to take on the challenges of everyday life and the ones that have come from processing my father’s death without ASCC opening up my world to counseling and positive mental health. I’m deeply grateful for All Souls Counseling Center.

To honor my father and to provide an outlet for my feelings around his death I wrote the song, “I Should Have Stayed Up.”  Through the promotion of the song I want to bring awareness to suicide and prevention.  Also, part of the revenue generated from the sales and streams of the song will be donated to ASCC in my father’s honor. Though he wasn’t a man of means, he always taught me to give back. ASCC has given me so much, so it only feels right to give back and potentially be able to help others on their mental health journey.  Donate directly to All Souls Counseling Center.
